Quotes/Estimates

Any price quoted is based on the information and drawings supplied by you to us. Any variations will be picked up during your template visit and if there are significant changes a final quote will be provided based on the exact details taken at template.

Quotes issued are valid for 90 days.

Payment terms

A deposit of 25% is required at the point of booking in. This can be paid via BACS or card. The final balance is requested immediately following installation.

Templating

You will be sent a templating checklist at time of booking to ensure everything is ready. Templates that must be aborted due to not being ready are chargeable.

Our templaters will advise on joins and they will be placed where is best structurally and aesthetically.

Colour matching

Suppliers of quartz and natural stone make no guarantees that the colours of their products are 100% consistent. If you are trying to match your choice to a sample you already have, or if exact tones are crucial to your design you must let us know. We will arrange for a selection of samples to be sent to you and you will be invited to come and view the material before it is cut. Re-stocking fees are charged by the suppliers which will be passed on.

Installation

Fabrication is not an exact science and slight tolerances in both overhangs and thickness may be observed. County Stone Ltd will endeavour to keep these tolerances to a minimum, an industry standard 2 – 5mm tolerance is deemed acceptable.

Our fitters work as cleanly as possible during installation however in certain circumstances cutting of the stone will have to be completed on site. Dust may be created, we aim to keep this to a minimum with the use of industrial suction and using outside areas, any stone dust on patios or grass will wash away with rain and wind.

Timescale

We usually operate within a 10-14day window between templating and installation; this varies based on the time of year and the material to be installed. You will be advised of the estimated lead time for your particular project at the time of booking.

We cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen delays as a result of factors out of our control, however in the unlikely event of delays to your service we will endeavour to reschedule an installation date at a time convenient for you.

After Installation

We want you to be delighted with your work surfaces and as such expect and maintain extremely high standards of workmanship. While it is not always possible for customers to be present to sign-off at the time of installation we do ask that any issues with the material or its installation are raised within 48hrs.

County Stone Ltd guarantee glued joins and siliconing for one year from the date of installation, after this time repairs will incur a call out fee – this is due to the many factors that can cause these substances to degrade.

Plumbing and Electrical

County Stone Ltd is not insured to connect or disconnect any taps, sinks, gas hobs or electrical works and as such are unable to do so at any point during our visits. Please bear this in mind if managing your own project.

Fabrication of Stone Supplied by Others

We do not cut, trim or fit stone supplied by others.

Removal of Existing Worktops

County Stone Ltd may, in certain circumstances, help with the removal of existing worktops. This does not include their disposal.
